Chris has 30 years of speaking experience in various settings including school assemblies, youth camps, churches, marriage retreats, men's retreats and conferences. In addition, he trains executives and managers of large companies to be effective communicators.
Chris has planted and pastored two churches. He has partnered with church planters by sending mission teams, providing mentorship and coaching and participating in church planting networks which have in turn found new and emerging ways for the church to expand her mission. Church planting is his passion!
Chris has been married to Michelle for 31 years. Together they have worked to improve the lives of many people. Michelle has taught school for 25 years and specializes in teaching students of all ages with special needs. Chris and Michelle have two boys, Sam and Jon Jon, who are 21 years old and 17 years old respectively.

A HOUSE CHURCH APPROACH
OUR VISION
​
We see lay pastor led gatherings in house churches across the Las Vegas valley. We see ourselves looking like the church of Acts Two. We see this model as someone has said “an ancient future” being lived out in 2020 and beyond. We see our gatherings as being more like going to the gym than going to the movies. We envision a culture of multiplying disciples who are contributors more than consumers.
OUR MISSION

The mission of The Gathering flows out of two key scriptures:
The Great Commandment: “Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart ... soul ... and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’ ” Matt. 22:36-40
The Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’ ” Matt. 28:19-20
OUR STRATEGY

We will raise up multiplying leaders (lay pastors). Each pastor will be mentored and continually encouraged to reproduce themselves.

We will continually pray and seek God for the next home that God opens up to become a house church. Each time a house comes open, we will canvas that neighborhood inviting those who live there to gather with us at our meetings. These meetings may or may not happen on Sunday morning.

We will hold larger gatherings once a month so that the people can see they are a part of something bigger. We will worship with music, share stories of what God is doing, cast vision for continued multiplication, and pray together for God’s blessing on the work.
